Before you buy international flight tickets, Read This

Are you thinking of buying international flight tickets? Before you do, read this!

We all know how costly it is to travel abroad. The tickets, the hotels, the food and everything else adds up to more than you can imagine. But that’s not the only thing we have to worry about when buying flight tickets.

1) If the airline goes out of business:

The last thing we need to worry about is booking an airline ticket from an airline that suddenly goes out of business. The thought of it happening is scary because they can’t refund your money.

2) International flights are expensive:

International flights are expensive no matter how you look at it. But paying $1000 on a round trip ticket is way too much money. I’ve flown on international flights before and the tickets cost more than $600 round trip and that’s not even for a direct flight! With all the hidden fees airlines try to shove down our throats, we should be saving every penny we can get.

3) Have you ever heard of a stopover?

Stop over charges are something I just found out about recently and it angers me a lot! Stop overs are when your plane stops in another country for a few hours before continuing on its journey to its final destination

You’re thinking about going on an international trip, right?

That’s great! You will have a lot of fun and make memories that will last for a lifetime.

The only question is: where should you go?

Some people can spend hours and hours deciding which country to visit. They look at the prices of flights, hotels, activities and the exchange rate. Then they look at the other factors such as culture, food, history, geography etc. It can be quite time-consuming.

If you don’t have time for this because you have other things in your life that are more important than planning a trip (such as family and friends) then this blog post is for you! We are going to tell you exactly where to go and where not to go so you can get on with your life knowing that your trip will be great.

The first thing we want to talk about is flight tickets. Have you ever seen how much they cost? They can be incredibly expensive especially if you are travelling long distances.

* What time of year is cheapest for flying

* How to get cheap last minute flights

Let’s start with a basic question: why should you use an airfare search engine?

Travelling is such a luxury, especially when you travel around the world. I especially love travel in Asia and Europe because they have the best cuisine, history, and shopping. Over the years, I’ve learned that there are certain times to buy your airline tickets for your next trip to get great deals. Here are some tips on how to get cheap airline tickets to anywhere in the world:

– Time of year of your travel: Travel during off season or shoulder season to save a lot of money. If you want to go somewhere warm, book your flight in winter and vice versa.

– Book your flight 2 months before leaving: Last minute flights are usually very expensive so it’s better to book ahead of time. Sometimes airlines put their tickets on sale two months before but if you wait too long, they might be sold out or even more expensive than when you would have booked it.

– Be flexible with dates: If possible, try and be as flexible as possible with your dates as fares vary by day.

– Use smart search engines like Skyscanner: I always use search engines like Skyscanner or Google Flights because they show you all prices from all airlines so you can choose which one is cheaper. Sometimes the cheapest flight

To make sure you’re getting the best deal, be informed about your options. The cheapest ticket may not be the best deal: it could have a long layover or too many stops.

Cheapest fares can be found between 3 and 8 weeks out – depending on the route and season. Some airlines also hold sales on Tuesdays.

In general, airfare gets more expensive as you approach the departure date, so you should book in advance if possible.

The cheapest days to fly are usually Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Sunday is usually the most expensive day to fly.

On average, international flights are 10% to 20% cheaper than domestic flights.

The lowest fare by month for each region can be found here: https://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/best-time-to-buy/tables

If you plan to fly overseas, the best time to buy a ticket is between four to five months in advance of your trip. The reasoning behind this is that airlines are eager to sell tickets early, but after that first month they start raising prices as seats fill up.

The Wall Street Journal looked at airline data and found that international flights started getting cheaper about five months before departure. The cheapest tickets will be found approximately 21 weeks before the flight. So if you’re looking for the cheapest international flight, book early and save some money!
