Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, and Dubaï International Airport have announced a partnership that aims to enhance the quality of travel experience for customers.

Through enhanced cooperation and collaboration, customers can expect a seamless and efficient journey through Dubaï. The agreement was signed by Ray Gammell, Etihad Airways’ Chief People & Performance Officer and Paul Griffiths, CEO of Dubaï Airports at a ceremony in Abu Dhabi.

The partnership sets out key initiatives that will result in improved service for passengers travelling between Etihad Airways’ home base at Abu Dhabi International Airport and Dubaï International Airport – the busiest airport in the world for international passenger traffic.

Etihad Airways and Dubaï International Airport (DXB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance customer experience and streamline operations at the airport.

Etihad and DXB will work together to explore new opportunities across a range of areas, with a focus on improving processes for customers travelling on Etihad Airways and its partner airlines.

This will include enhancing the customer experience at immigration, check-in, baggage handling, boarding gates, connection processes, immigration and security lanes.

The two organisations will also cooperate on increasing overall operational efficiencies between Etihad’s ground services provider (GSP) at DXB and the airport authorities.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, is to enhance its customer experience with Etihad Guest, its award-winning loyalty programme, at Dubai International Airport.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two parties includes plans for a dedicated check-in area and lounge for Etihad Guest members travelling through Dubai International Airport.

This partnership builds on the existing relationship between Abu Dhabi Airports Company and Etihad Airways, which has recently enhanced passenger journeys with a new automated border control system.

James Hogan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Etihad Aviation Group said: “Dubai International Airport is a major hub in our network and this agreement will benefit millions of customers who travel through it each year.

It will enable them to optimise their time at the airport through fast-track immigration and immigration clearance services.”

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has been working closely with Dubai International Airport for many years and is continuously looking for ways to improve the customer experience.

The collaboration between Etihad Airways and Dubai International Airport has recently been extended through a new agreement aimed at delivering a seamless travel experience to passengers.

With this new partnership, Etihad Airways aims to provide customers with an even more convenient travel experience with reduced wait times at various checkpoints in the airport. Passengers of Etihad Airways will be able to continue their journey through Dubai International Airport with minimal waiting time by utilizing dedicated counters and lanes.

As part of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Etihad Airways and Dubai Airports today, the two organizations will focus on improving their collaboration in areas such as shared lounges and boarding facilities, joint marketing campaigns, and the sharing of information on significant travel events.

In addition, Etihad Airways and Dubai Airports will work together to explore passenger-focused initiatives including inflight connectivity and biometric-based services.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has partnered with Dubai International Airport to develop a comprehensive range of services and facilities to enhance the travel experience of guests arriving in Dubai.

The new services are part of Etihad Guest, the airline’s frequent flyer programme, which is being leveraged across the Etihad Airways Partner network. The first phase will see over 1,000 lounges worldwide, offering benefits such as priority check-in, access to business class lounges and additional baggage allowance.

Guest members will also earn miles when flying on Etihad Airways or its partner airlines. In addition, guests will enjoy a wider choice of flight departure times and destinations as well as exclusive fares.

“The strategic partnership with Dubai International Airport is an important milestone for Etihad Airways Partners as it allows us to deliver more value for customers by providing them with more options and better services,” said Peter Baumgartner, chief commercial officer of Etihad Airways. “Our aim is to be able to provide our guests with a seamless travel experience when they book their flights within the Etihad Airways Partner network.”
