Let’s face it, if you live in the US or Canada, most of your vacations are spent traveling in your own country. But there are a lot of great beach destinations out there that don’t require a passport, and I want to share some of my favorites with you.
I’ve been writing this blog since 2009 and have had over 10,000 readers from all over the world follow my adventures. I love good food, cheap wine, and the perfect beach read. I know you’re a busy person, so I’ll get right to the point: You should take a beach vacation. Especially if you live in an area where it’s currently freezing.
Let me tell you about my last beach vacation. I went to the Dominican Republic with my best friend and it was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken. The water was extremely warm and clear, and the sand was so soft that it felt like walking on a cloud.
The local people were very welcoming, which is always a plus when visiting a foreign country. We spent our days lounging around on the beach and our nights checking out the local restaurants. All in all it was quite relaxing, which is exactly what I needed after a long semester of school.
