That’s right! Sure, Los Angeles International Airport is the most popular airport in California and third in the U.S., but it’s not always the best way to travel. Regardless of whether you’re vacationing or visiting for business, there are many alternatives to flying into LAX (and traffic)!

The second-fastest option is driving – but it’s also much more expensive than flying. If you have time on your hands then this could be a good option for you: just pack some snacks and water, bring along some music or books to read while driving through the desert… and voila! You’ve got yourself an adventure! It’s worth noting that if you’re going during high season (summer) then traffic can get pretty bad so plan accordingly with traffic updates from Google Maps or Waze before hitting those highways.”

Flying to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

You can fly into LAX from anywhere in the world but remember that all domestic flights must go through security, so bring your ID. Make sure you are aware of the TSA guidelines for flying with liquids and sharp objects. Flying into LAX is one of the fastest ways to travel once you are in the air, but you will need to add more time if you need to rent a car or if there is traffic on the roadways.

There are a number of ways to get to the balloon rides. You can fly into LAX, rent a car, or take public transportation. Flying is by far the most convenient option, but it’s also the most expensive. If you don’t mind a bit of travel time and some walking, it’s easy to take the subway or bus to your destination.

If you plan on arriving into LA by train, you might want to visit Union Station first. This historic train station combines Spanish Colonial and Art Deco architecture, with plenty of nearby restaurants and bars. There are also connecting Amtrak services that can take you up and down the coast, including San Diego and Santa Barbara.

If you decide to drive to LA, consider taking the legendary Route 66. You can start your trip in Chicago and make your way west through Missouri and Kansas before reaching Oklahoma City.
