Airlines around the world have been voted on and ranked by TripAdvisor travelers in the 2019 Travelers’ Choice awards for Airlines. See which airlines are rated as the best in the world.

The 2019 winners are based on an algorithm that took into account both the quantity and quality of airline reviews submitted by travelers worldwide over a 12-month period on TripAdvisor Flights. Airlines with a minimum of 1,500 passenger reviews were considered.

AirlineRatings.com has released their list of the best airlines in the world for 2019, and the results are surprising.

The new A350-900ULR is a long range aircraft that will allow Singapore Airlines to fly non-stop from Singapore to New York and Los Angeles.

What’s the best airline in the world? That’s the question that The Points Guy set out to answer, and it named Singapore Airlines as the best of the best. But Singapore Airlines didn’t come out on top for all categories. Some airlines are better for business travelers, while others have the best economy class.

Round trips to and from the US, Europe and Latin America have been ranked by using a combination of the airlines’ on-time performance, extra fees (baggage, changes) and customer satisfaction ratings. The results include both domestic and international flights.

The top three airlines are:

1. Southwest Airlines — “Southwest is an airline that knows who it is,” says one editor. “No frills. Great service.”

2. Hawaiian Airlines — “I’m a fan of Hawaiian because they still offer complimentary meals and drinks in economy,” says another editor. “It’s not just a snack or a sandwich, it’s actual meals.”

3. JetBlue Airways — Another editor puts JetBlue Airways in the number one spot because of its free entertainment options and generous legroom.
