She worked for a large corporation for 20 years, but eventually decided to pursue her passion for flying. She became a certified flight instructor and started her own flight school.
A Family Legacy of Flight
Growing up, Ashley Delhotal was surrounded by the thrill of flight. Her mom, a commercial pilot, would often take her on flights, sharing stories of her adventures and the sense of freedom that came with soaring through the skies. This early exposure sparked Ashley’s interest in aviation, and she began to dream of following in her mom’s footsteps.
The Path to Becoming a Pilot
After high school, Ashley decided to pursue her passion for flying. She majored in communication studies at Illinois State University, but soon realized that her true calling was in the cockpit.
The Thrill of Flight
Delhotal’s love for flying was reignited after taking a break from it. She had always been fascinated by the thrill of flight, and now she was back to experience it firsthand.
Other days, she splits her time between the two states. She has been living in Minnesota for about 10 years, but she still considers herself a Texan at heart. She has been living in Texas for about 5 years, but she still considers herself a Minnesotan at heart.
Delhotal hopes to one day pilot bigger planes on longer flights. For now, she’s just ready to see where her next flight takes her.
