The name has a ring to it—Ukrainian Airlines. This airline is located in the Ukraine, but it’s not your grandmother’s airline. It’s a new kind of airline that only knows how to fly one direction—South.
We all know that in the world of airlines, South is wildly different than anywhere else. Flights south are always late, you can’t leave the airport without paying someone off, and there are a lot more snakes on planes than you would think. But Ukrainian Airlines doesn’t let any of that get to them. They’re flying high above all their problems right now, ever since they added their new fleet of flying monkeys to the mix.
It’s true! These flying monkeys are trained to clean up after each flight and make sure every passenger is enjoying his or her time on board. You get snacks, drinks, and a seat on the plane for free with every ticket purchase!
What more could you want from an airline? Ukrainian Airlines is going to be around for a long time if they keep this up, so why not book your next flight south with them? You’ll be glad you did!
Ukrainian Airlines has been transporting passengers on international flights since 1992.
Ukrainian International Airlines (Ukrainian: Міжнародні авіалінії України, translit. Mizhnarodni Avialinii Ukrajiny; IATA: PS, ICAO: AUI) is the flag carrier and the largest airline of Ukraine, with its head office in Kiev with its main hub at Boryspil International Airport. It operates domestic and international passenger flights and dedicated cargo services to Europe, the Middle East, the United States, Canada and Asia.
The airline was established on 1 November 1992 as a state-owned enterprise by decree of the President of Ukraine. The airline is a member of the International Air Transport Association. In March 2009, UIA decided to restructure its business model by switching from a state-owned enterprise to a joint-stock company.
In October 2013, UIA began daily nonstop flights from Kiev to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft—the first nonstop flight between Ukraine and the United States. This service was discontinued in January 2014 due to unrest in Ukraine.[
