It aims to promote aviation safety and environmental sustainability. The run will cover a distance of 10 kilometers, starting from the Mayor’s Garden and ending at the Entebbe International Airport. Participants will be divided into two categories: runners and walkers. The runners will cover the full distance, while walkers will cover half the distance. The event will also feature a health check-up camp, where participants can get their health status checked.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has marked its 80th anniversary with a celebration that underscores its commitment to maintaining safe skies and its dedication to community service. The Aviation Run, a key highlight of the event, serves as a platform for ICAO to honor its history while also engaging in philanthropic activities. The ICAO, established in 1944, has been instrumental in setting global standards for aviation safety, security, efficiency, and sustainability.

The event, which is set to take place on 26th September, aims to promote aviation in the country. The association has been actively involved in various initiatives to boost the industry, including the establishment of the Uganda Aviation Academy. The academy, which was launched in 2018, has been instrumental in providing training and education to aspiring aviation professionals. The Aviation Run is a significant event in Uganda’s aviation calendar, attracting participants from across the country. It serves as a platform for showcasing the latest developments in the aviation sector, including new aircraft models, technological advancements, and innovative solutions to industry challenges.
