General Aviation Safety Takes Center Stage

Over 5,000 pilots have joined the “National Pause for General Aviation Safety” campaign launched by the Air Safety Institute in April 2025.

The campaign aims to promote safety and reduce the risk of accidents in general aviation through a six-month initiative.

The initiative is backed by the FAA and 22 other aviation organizations.

The campaign encourages pilots to review their procedures, check their aircraft, and ensure they are flying within their capabilities.

Pilot training and certification are crucial for reducing the risk of accidents in general aviation.

Aviation schools and colleges have signed agreements to provide credit transfer opportunities for pilots trained at these institutions.

Epic Flight Academy and Seminole State College of Florida (SSC) have partnered to enable pilots trained at Epic to transfer their certifications as college credit hours toward a degree at SSC.

The partnership highlights the importance of pilot training and certification in promoting safety and reducing the risk of accidents.

Aviation organizations have joined forces to support the “National Pause for General Aviation Safety” campaign.

The campaign emphasizes the importance of pilot safety and well-being, encouraging pilots to slow down and refocus to reduce the risk of accidents.
