If you purchased travel insurance make sure you bring the insurance company’s name, phone number, your policy number and a list of what’s covered in your policy with you when travelling. This can save you a lot of hassle if something goes wrong on your trip.

These are essential when traveling by plane, train or bus. If you’re in a hotel or hostel they can be useful if the walls are thin or if you have loud neighbors. You may need them in an airport as well, especially when waiting for a delayed flight or if there’s a crying baby around. They’re also great for blocking out the noise of traffic in large cities and for drowning out conversation of fellow travelers who stay up late talking.
Plug Adapter
Make sure to bring the proper plug adapter for any country you plan on visiting. A simple Internet search should reveal which type you need and where to get it from (try Amazon). For example, I’m from the US so I bought a UK-to-US adapter before my trip to London. Most electronic devices nowadays come with an international power adapter that works with different types of wall outlets (this is the one I brought), but not all do so double check before leaving!
