Here are some tips on how to do this:1) Make sure that your airline allows online check-in before arriving at the airport. Some airlines require that you print out a boarding pass while others will give it to you as an SMS or email attachment

If you’re like me, you love to travel. In fact, I’m writing this from a plane at 30,000 feet. But even though I love to fly, getting to the airport and through security can be a real drag.

Luckily there are some great ways to make getting your boarding pass easier and more convenient. Here are my top 8 tips for getting your boarding pass the quick way!

Before we start, let’s take a look at how the boarding pass works. It’s basically your ticket onto the plane. It tells the airline you paid for your seat and it tells airport security that you’ve gone through the right channels (and haven’t snuck in).

The first step is to purchase your ticket online. I usually use flight24 because it has an easy-to-use interface and gives me great deals on flights out of Chicago (ORD). Once you purchase your ticket, you’ll need to print out a copy of your boarding pass or download it onto your phone or tablet. If you don’t want to deal with paper, most airlines send you an e-ticket with a QR code that you can scan at the gate without having to go through printing out anything.

Some days, the early bird does get the worm. It’s all about the boarding pass.

The early bird gets the seat: When you check in online you have priority over those who check-in at the ticket counter or kiosk. You can pick your seat and enjoy a window view during your flight.

Time is money: By checking in online you save yourself a lot of time waiting in queues. We are all busy people and that extra hour can be used more productively than waiting in line to check in at a kiosk.

No waiting: The online check-in option is available 24 hours before your flight departure time. This means no waking up early to get to the airport an hour before your flight.

No stress: If you’re running late, then don’t worry! Online check-in allows you to print out your boarding pass at home, avoiding the queue and rushing to the gate!

You’re already there: You can even use the online check-in option from our website on your phone whilst sitting in traffic on the way to the airport!

You have luggage too?: Don’t worry! If you have bags that need to be checked, simply drop them off at our Fast Drop counters located at both domestic and international terminals.

1. Check in online

2. Use the airport kiosks

3. Download the airline app

4. Keep all important information handy

5. Use an e-ticket when possible

6. Get your boarding pass at another airport

7. Have your boarding pass sent to your phone or email address

8. Go paperless

If you’re anything like us, you consider getting to the airport and onto your flight a small victory. Even though you know better, you still get a nervous pit in your stomach when you see that long line at the ticket counter. Your hands start to sweat as the line inches forward and your eyes dart around for the nearest sign that says “self-check”. You sigh with relief when it’s finally your turn at the kiosk, but then you realize that you don’t know how to use it. To make matters worse, you hear someone behind you mutter that only old people and foreigners need help, but now it’s too late…

Well, we can’t all be technophiles who can figure out anything in five minutes or less. That’s why we’ve put together this list of tips for how to check in quickly and efficiently using our kiosk system. And if these tips aren’t enough to help you get through our check-in process without breaking a sweat (or without having to ask for help), we’ll always be there for ya!

Normally, this isn’t a big deal. I get to the airport, check in at the kiosk, and get my boarding pass. I can walk right up to security and go straight to my gate. But sometimes it doesn’t work that way. Sometimes I show up and the kiosk tells me to see a customer service agent. I’m not sure why they pull people out of the self-serve line like that, but they do from time to time. And when you have to wait for a customer service agent, it can be a long wait.

Waiting in line at the airport is one of my least favorite things to do. If I’m going on vacation, I want all the vacation time I can get. So when it’s time for me to fly home and there’s a long line in front of me, it’s frustrating because all that waiting is cutting into my vacation time.

I’ve had this happen several times and it’s not fun. But then again, just about everything about flying these days is less than fun except actually being on your flight once you finally board your plane.
