It’s that time of year again! The holiday season is here and we are excited to celebrate it with you. We’ll be taking a look at how countries around the world celebrate Christmas and the New Year, as well as how we can all enjoy this festive season safely, whether it be through travel or parties.

Christmas: Celebrating around the World

Christmas is one of the most celebrated holidays around the world! It’s celebrated on December 25th in many countries, though the way it’s celebrated varies from place to place. Let’s take a look at some of the ways people celebrate Christmas!

In North America and Europe, people typically have a big dinner with their family on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. Turkey is commonly eaten in these countries for Christmas dinner, which makes sense considering turkeys were native to North and South America! Another tradition in these places is hanging stockings by the fireplace for Santa Claus, who allegedly leaves gifts for good children in them (although parents are often the ones who end up putting gifts inside!).
