Holidaying In The USA – Home of The Magnificent Seven

The USA is a fantastic place to go on holiday. A vast, unique and exciting country, it is home to some of the most incredible sights the world has to offer. With this in mind, here’s a look at what we believe are the seven best states that make up the USA.

California

California has to be one of the most exciting places to visit on the planet; from its vibrant cities and beautiful beaches, to its stunning national parks and fascinating museums.

A trip to California wouldn’t be complete without exploring Los Angeles – home of Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive. This is a city where dreams really do come true, with celebrity spotting opportunities galore. Why not take a tour of Universal Studios or Warner Brothers Studio? Here you can explore famous movie sets and see how films are made.

Disneyland is another popular tourist attraction in California; a magical world for all ages, with themed lands and rides based on famous Disney movies. In addition, San Francisco is well worth visiting. From here you can take a boat trip out across the bay to Alcatraz Island prison – once home to some of America’s most notorious criminals – or venture across the Golden Gate Bridge into Marin County for some breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

The USA is a country of enormous diversity and one of the top destinations for travellers looking for a holiday of a lifetime. From modern cities like New York to the historic charm of Washington D.C., from the beautiful beaches of California to the natural wonders of Yellowstone National Park – there really is something for everyone in this vast and diverse nation.

Every state has its own unique character, but here are seven that deserve to be highlighted:

New York

The Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Metropolitan Museum of Art are just a few of the things that make New York one of the most visited states in America. From the pulsating Broadway shows to its mesmerising cityscape, New York is a place where you will never be short of something to do.

California

For anyone looking for a good time in America, California is the place to be; think glitz and glamour, beaches and movie stars. The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco really is an engineering marvel, while Disneyland Resort in California is said to be the happiest place on Earth.

Florida

Who wouldn’t want to visit Florida? With theme parks such as Universal Studios and Disney World, it’s no wonder this state attracts millions of visitors every year. For those wanting to spend some time on Florida’s beaches, its hundreds of miles of coastline provide miles and miles of golden sands for everyone to enjoy.

Nevada

Las Vegas is known as Sin City for a reason; its casinos and hotels have been attracting holidaymakers for years for their bright lights and action-packed shows. Alternatively, if you’re feeling brave enough you could always take a trip out into the desert on horseback or by jeep!

The USA is a great place to visit on holiday. But it is a massive country, so where should you go? Here are some ideas.

Alaska is worth a visit just for the flight there. From Anchorage, you can see Mount McKinley, the highest mountain in North America. It’s breathtaking. And that’s before you even get there! Once in Alaska, you can take the Denali Star train from Anchorage to Fairbanks to meet the locals, who are some of the friendliest people in America.

Taking a roadtrip along Route 66 is another great way to see the USA. Start out in Chicago and drive all the way to Santa Monica Pier in California. Along the way you’ll see some amazing sights and towns – don’t miss St Louis’ Gateway Arch or Route 66’s own museum in Springfield, Illinois! If you’re lucky enough to be driving Route 66 at Halloween, make sure you stop at haunted Clinton Road in New Jersey for a real fright!

Before you go home, make sure you experience American cuisine at its best at one of New York’s many famous restaurants. The Big Apple is one of America’s most iconic cities and will make your trip complete.

There are so many other things to do and places to see in America

Having recently returned from a holiday in the USA, I thought it would be nice to write about some of the places I visited and what I got up to.

During my stay, I stayed with relatives in California, who were kind enough to show me around some of their favourite spots. The first place they took me to was Lake Tahoe, which is situated on the border of California and Nevada. It was beautiful and seems to be a popular destination for skiers or snowboarders during the winter months. However, as it was spring when we visited, we were able to enjoy the sunshine and walk along the lake shore. As well as being great for outdoor sports enthusiasts, Lake Tahoe is also known for gambling due to its close proximity to Nevada. The weather was just perfect for walking around and exploring all that Lake Tahoe has to offer.

The next place we visited was San Francisco. One of the main things you have to do when visiting San Francisco is take a trip over the Golden Gate Bridge, it really is an amazing sight! My favourite thing about this city is how diverse it is – you get people from all walks of life living here together in peace and harmony! There are so many different types of destination you can visit here from Chinatown

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful holiday in the USA. We flew with Jet2, a low-cost airline based in the UK that offers affordable flights to some of the most popular destinations in the world. Our first stop was the magnificent city of Las Vegas, Nevada.

The City of Sin, as it has become known, is a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah, filled with temptations at every corner. The main strip is home to some of the most famous casinos in the world and you can gamble 24 hours a day here if you want to. While we are not gamblers ourselves (we’re far too sensible for that), we enjoyed visiting all of the casino resorts on the strip and watching others gamble their lives away on slot machines and poker tables!

You can also enjoy some spectacular shows in Las Vegas including Cirque du Soleil’s many magnificent shows, water shows like O by Cirque du Soleil at Bellagio Hotel and Casino, adult shows like Zumanity by Cirque du Soleil and Britney Spears’ Piece of Me Show at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino among others.

After exploring Las Vegas for 3 days, we rented a car from Enterprise Car Rental

The United States of America is a vast country in North America. It borders on Canada to the north and Mexico to the south, and has a land area of about 9.6 million sq km (about half the size of Russia and about the same size as China). It also has the world’s third-largest population, with more than 320 million people. It includes densely populated cities with sprawling suburbs and vast uninhabited areas that are open to exploration and development. It’s sunny Florida, where seniors go to retire it’s hard-working California, where young people flock in search of fame and fortune it’s scenic Hawaii, which attracts tourists from around the globe it’s Alaska, home to towering snow-capped mountains, frozen tundra and glaciers it’s New York City, home of Wall Street and Broadway theater it’s Las Vegas, where overindulgence is not only tolerated but encouraged.

It’s a land where you can marvel at some of nature ‘s greatest wonders like the Grand Canyon or find yourself face-to-face with one of humankind ‘s greatest achievements like the Space Shuttle.

It is a nation that was founded by immigrants on ideals of freedom, liberty and equality for all. And yet it has been plagued by persistent social problems –
